The 2008 National Congress recognises the climate in planning is changing. The shift in national and international attention to addressing the challenges of climate change is just one signal. Planning is dynamic and undergoing quantam shifts. Congress will look at the changing culture of planning, natural resource management innovations, creative community engagement, movements in the economics of development, and new tools for planners .The backdrop is Sydney, our global window, full of planning challenges and opportunities. We will showcase innovation in NSW against the sparkling backdrop of Sydney Harbour.
