What’s involved?
Position/project name: ActNow Content Developer
Role Description: As the ActNow Content Developer you will primarily be responsible for creating new written and multi-media content for the ActNow website and ensuring this content is relevant and interesting to ActNow members.
In particular you will be required to:
- Develop ‘issue pages’ that provide accurate and factual information on social issues
- develop ‘stories’ about the obstacles and successes young people face taking action in their community
- develop ‘tools’ that provide young people with skills to participate in their community
- develop photo galleries or short videos that visually represent an issue that you or other young Australians care about
- assist in writing and publishing the ActNow e-newsletter.
Why should people do this?
- Develop research, writing skills and multi-media skills
- Gain an understanding of creating content for a website
- Develop an understanding of social development and the not-for-profit sector
- Gain experience working in a team orientated environment
- Develop technical skills such as website moderation
Other stuff
Time requirements: 2 days per week (minimum 15 hours per week). Internships will commence at the end of August and run for a minimum of 8 weeks.
Age requirements: You need to be aged 14-25 years to apply for this role
Location: Interns work in the Inspire Foundation www.inspire.org.au office in Sydney as part of the ActNow team.
