What’s involved?

Position/project name: ActNow Content Editor

Role Description: As the ActNow Content Editor you will primarily be responsible for editing written and multi-media website content to ensure it’s relevant and interesting to ActNow members; and for maintaining the ActNow website.

In particular you will be required to:

  • Edit ‘issue pages’ that provide accurate and factual information on social issues
  • edit ‘ stories’ about the obstacles and successes young people face taking action in their community
  • edit ‘tools’ that provide young people with skills to participate in their community
  • provide feedback and some technical assistance on photo galleries or short videos that visually represent issues young Australians care about.

You will be required to keep ActNow website content up-to-date; including updating written content and images; formatting content; and removing out of date content from the site.

You will also have the opportunity to participate in other fun editorial processes including commissioning content and writing content briefs!

As a Content Editor you will also edit the ActNow e-newsletter; and assist in its publication.

Other stuff

Time Requirements: 2 days per week (minimum 15 hours per week). Internships will commence at the end of August and run for a minimum of 8 weeks.

Age requirements: You need to be aged 14-25 years to apply for this role

Location: Interns work in the Inspire Foundation www.inspire.org.au office in Sydney as part of the ActNow team.
