The'Incubator' is a committee of people that give advice and get stuff done! Incubator members work in conjunction with staff to share ideas, create content, and problem solve to build ActNow and make it the site you want it to be!
Each Incubator term runs for 12 weeks. Each committee has 15 people from across Australia. We communicate mostly through online forums, and there is a 3 day face to face workshop held in Sydney.
As an Incubator you will provide feedback on ActNow and related issues; create content; generate and comment on new ideas for the program; and promote and market the site. Most importantly though you will create real change by undertaking an action in your community and feeding back to the committee and site members about your personal path to taking action!
To become an Incubator member you need to be:
- aged 18-25
- able to access the internet at least once a week
- able to commit 2 hours per week to the Incubator for 12 weeks
- living in Australia.
We have 2 Incubators per year. The next Incubator will start on the 28th July 2008!
The closing date for applications is 5pm Tues 22 July. Interested?
