ActNow is commissioning talented young writers aged 16–25 to write engaging articles on current issues.
If you’ve got what it takes to entertain, spark debate and leave readers wanting more, send an application to the ActNow Crew (actnow@inspire.org.au).
Application details:
Applications should include three things:
1. your résumé
2. a 300–500 word piece about yourself in any style
3. a 600 word opinion piece about a current issue. Be sure to substantiate your argument with research from a variety of trusted sources.
Please note:
Successful applications will need to be available to attend a free writing workshop in Sydney (flights and expenses covered by ActNow).
Unsuccessful applicants will not be contacted
Chosen applicants will need an Australian Business Number (ABN) before publication of their first paid piece
A competitive per word rate will be paid for commissioned pieces
