ActNow is commissioning talented young writers aged 16–25 to write engaging articles on current issues.

Application details:
Applications should include three things:
1. your résumé
2. a 300–500 word piece about yourself in any style
3. a 600–700 word opinion piece in which you need to argue for or against a call to action by young people, at the recent Australia 2020 Youth Summit, to lower the voting age to 16.
Be sure to substantiate your argument with research from a variety of trusted sources.
Please note:
- Successful applications will need to be available to attend a free writing workshop in August (expenses covered by ActNow).
- Unsuccessful applicants will not be contacted
- Chosen applicants will need an Australian Business Number (ABN) before publication of their first paid piece
- A competitive per word rate will be paid for commissioned pieces
