What’s involved?
Tuesday 18th September is Close the Gap day - run by Oxfam to show support to reduce the 17 year life expectancy gap between Indigenous Australians and Australia as a whole.
Sydney:
Belmore Park (opposite Central Station) 12 - 2pm.
Speeches include:
* Dea Thiele CEO of National Aboriginal Community Controlled Organisation (NACCHO)
* Sandra Bailey CEO of Aboriginal Health and Medical Research Centre (AH&MRC)
* Dr Marlene Kong Indigenous Doctor and member of Australian Indigenous Doctors Association (AIDA)
* Linda Burney, MP, first Aboriginal person elected to NSW Parliament.
