With over 700,000 refugees in the region, NGOs in the Middle East need your help! You can donate food or supplies, or volunteer your time at local offices of the following organisations:

* Australian Red Cross: http://www.redcross.org.au/default.asp

* UNHCR: http://www.unhcr.org/cgi-bin/texis/vtx/help

* MSF Australia: http://www.msf.org.au/.

You can also write the Australian representative at the United Nations, Caroline Millar. Let her know what you think should be done about the conflict, including the resolution.
