Join WWF and the Sydney Morning Herald on 31 March 2007 to show the world that Sydney cares enough about global warming to take action.

At 7.30pm we want you to turn off your lights for just one hour—Earth Hour—to show the world that Sydney cares enough about global warming to take action.

To find out more and to register go to the Earth Hour site...

Energy saving tip: turning off lights when you're not in the room and turning your appliances off standby will save up to 10% of our electricity consumption. Now how easy's that! .

I want to do this!

Cool - thanks for the mention :)

The actual hour (on March 31) is just one part of the broader campaign WWF is running to achieve a 5% reduction in emissions over 12 months - which would be the equivalent of taking 75,000 cars of the road for a whole year.

We hope that Earth Hour can be an opportunity for people to demonstrate how a simple change in our way of life could change, and help save, our planet.

Thanks again.
