What’s involved?
Who, What and a bit of where?

ALIV runs at least four camps a year for families living in community detention and on bridging visas.
As well as providing for much-needed family leisure time ALIV aims to make the camps educational for the children by exposing them to places that fire their imaginations and expand their knowledge.
The inaugural family camp was held in November 2005, in Canberra. It included visits to the Australian War Memorial, Parliament House and Questacon, and was a resounding success. It was followed by another two successful camps in January and March 2006 at Rivendell, Concorde Hospital and one in July 2006 with Edmund Rice Camps at Mulgoa. ALIV camps are generously supported by the NSW Service for the Treatment of Torture and Trauma Survivors, Edmund Rice Camps and John XXIII College, Australian National University.
For more information about the organisation, please check out: www.aliv.org.au
When?
The next camp will be held between Monday 21st - Friday 25th of January, 2008 (quite soon!)
(Note: Training will be on Sunday the 20th...with me!!!)
