What’s involved?
The team behind Reach Out!, are developing a new and innovative community website with honest and straight up info on drugs.
It will explore the issues around taking party and recreational drugs such as cannabis and amphetamines (ecstasy, speed, ice). It will also give tips on the best ways to party safely.
The site is aimed at young people who are curious about drugs and/or those who are occasional users.
We’re looking for a team of 15 young people from Sydney, who can help us to create this website. You would being doing stuff like working with staff to give advice and you can share your ideas about content and design.
The duration of the steering committee is 2 months, starting 28th March. We communicate mostly through online forums, and there are two one day face-to-face workshop held in Sydney on Wednesday 3rd April and Friday 16th May (TBC).
Apply to be on a steering committee to develop a new site.
To become involved you need to be:
- Aged 18–25
- Living in Sydney
- Able to attend both one-day workshops
- Able to access the internet at least one hour per week
- Accept the aims of the project If you are interested, fill out the online form by Sunday 23rd March.
