What’s involved?
The Loving Kindness Peaceful Youth 'Peace Grant' aims to support a project each year that is initiated by a young person or a group of young people.
The project should be aimed at achieving outcomes focused on peace: celebrating diversity, connecting with others, building community, resolving conflict, offering help, encouraging expression adn developing talents.
Eligibility
Individuals and groups of individuals between the ages of 18 and 30 are eligible to apply. The Grant is only available to Australian residents currently living in Australia, although the project could be implemented in any country
Amount of Grant: AUD $5000
Selection Criteria
Applications will be assessed against the following criteria:
- The project is initiated by a young person or people (althuogh the project may target an audience of any demographic)
- The project is focused on one or more of the following themes: celebrating diversity, connecting with others, builidng community, resolving conflict, offering help, encouraging expression and developing talents.
- The Project has an inital time line of 12 months or less
- Well defined outcomes and measures of success
- Well developed plan for delivery of the project
- Demonstration of capacity to deliver the proejct to plan
- Effective adn efficient use of the funds
Why should people do this?
The successful applicant(s) will get: AUD $5000-which will be made available as required by the proejct plan and budget Limited support in the form of advice and planning assistance from the LKPY board.
