What’s involved?
On Saturday 15th May Perth community group Families 4 Freedom are organising a rally & march in support of same-sex attracted & gender diverse people, their families, and their rights to have their relationships recognised under Australian Law. The event will be part of a National Day of Action, in commemoration of the International Day Against Homophobia on May 17th. Wear bright colours and come down to show your support, in what promises to be a fun, active and supportive march for the right to choose how our relationships are recognised. WHEN: Saturday 15th May, 1pm WHERE: Wesley Church (Cnr Hay St / William St) WHAT: 1pm - Speakers from Australian Government, Placard Making, Petitions 2pm - Support March through Perth CBD EVENT WEBSITE: http://www.families4freedom.info/ FACEBOOK EVENT: http://www.facebook.com/home.php?#!/event.php?eid=300733992908&ref=ts
Why should people do this?
By standing together and showing our support in an election year, we put pressure on our government to change their policies, and to support full equality for all Australian citizens.
