What’s involved?

Take action, guys! Nuclear waste is affecting your own backyards and the future health of this country.

Spread awareness!
Inform people on this issue. There are endless ways to do this and it does make a difference. Try

  • telling friends and families
  • researching more and then making flyers to hand out and post (at school or work, too)
  • sending out emails to all your contacts asking them to get involved
  • posting info on your website or blog.

Join groups!
Join a group that advocates your position. Take advantage of greater resources and add to the man power of an organisation. Or if that’s too much effort for you, just donate! This is a link to a big list of organisations…check it out! http://www.anawa.org.au/links/links-action.html

Write a letter!
It really, truly helps! Write a persuading letter to your local council member or other government members. Find help in the ActNow toolkit.

Start your own group!
If none of these seem suitable to you, form your own group. It sounds like a huge deal but sit down and brainstorm what you would need, what your objectives are and how you are going to go about achieving them. Things will start to fall into place. You can do it!

Why should people do this?
