What’s involved?

Sometimes making a difference to the world can seem like a huge impossible task. Fortunately, there are many worthwhile organisations out there who make taking action on issues you're passionate about much easier.

Just by adding your name to petitions, writing to world leaders, or letting friends and family know how they can help make a difference, you can really make sure your voice is heard! Here a list of some websites where YOU can make a difference and be heard with just a click of your mouse!

Greenpeace: http://www.greenpeace.org.au/get_involved
Sign a petition, send a letter, send a postcard, become an activist, sign up for the newsletter that tells you what greenpeace is doing and how you can help! From tips on changing your lifestyle to reduce detrimental impacts on the planet, to getting involved with a local activist group, this is the place for all the info on saving whales, reducing global warming and generally helping keep this world a greener place.

World Wildlife Federation Panda Passport: http://www.passport.panda.org

Sign up for a WWF panda passport and and see your actions making a real difference to government policies around the world. This site allows you to create an online passport, so that you can shoose to get involved with conservation actions in any region of the world, and in any issues that you feel strongly about. Everything is entirely online and easy, with the newsletter coming straight to your inbox when something urgent comes up that needs voices from around the world to make leaders listen. It's really a great feeling to know that your tiny action has helped make a difference, saving Western Australia's Ningaloo Reef, for example.

Oxfam: http://www.oxfam.org.au/getactive/
Help make poverty history! Another site that's easy to use with e-cards, e-petitions, and countless ways of getting your voice heard and actions taken around the world to reduce poverty delivered right to your inbox.

Amnesty International: http://www.amnesty.org/noise
Do you like listening to music? Who doesn't!? Next time you're downloading music online go to this site and make a difference while you do it! Featuring hot new artists singing classic Lennon tracks, you can use music to change the world! And not only can you make a difference in the world but you can win cool stuff too (like ipods)!

Why should people do this?
