Come and be part of Rainbow Conversations -a two-day GLBTI (Gay, Lesbian, Bisexual, Transgender and Intersex) human rights conference featuring the most remarkable and diverse group of activists, academics and community leaders ever gathered in Melbourne.

Same Sex Attracted Transgender Queer Youth (SSATQY) and those who work with them are invited to participate in the first ever queer young people's Human Rights forum.

This is an opportunity for young people to actively participate in a conversation about Human Rights. Join other young people from across the state, country and the Asia Pacific region in talking about what it means to be young and queer today.

There will also be ample opportunity for mini workshops afterwards looking at the ideas and issues presented.

GLTBI Human Rights in the Asia Pacific Wednesday 30 and Thursday 31 January 2008 Melbourne Town Hall, Melbourne

I think this is a great idea to get young people involved through talking about queer issues and through discussion. I think it is important to recognise how young people understand the issues that face them, how they interpret the environment we now live in and how they see the future for the GLBTI community...(hopefully Sydney is on the waiting list for the next human rights forum...hehe)
