The British Council is offering 'six hot young Australian creatures a once in a life time chance to fly to Britain to work with a creative leader in their industry'. You even get $8000 to help you live the dream. Britain’s rich cultural heritage and thriving arts communities make it an exciting and dynamic place to be!
You can apply through a blog, Flickr site, MySpace page, sending them examples of your work via post, making a DVD or a pod/vodcast—however you think you can best represent you, your work, and your ambition.
They are looking for applications that uniquely address the following:
- Clearly articulate the Applicant’s career goals
- Demonstrate a fierce determination to succeed
- Show industry awareness
- Provide examples of relevant work experience undertaken in the chosen field
- Give an indication of the talent and achievements of the Applicant
- Address how and why the UK in particular will play an important role in shaping the career of the Applicant
- Clearly outline the nature of the Dream the Applicant would like to undertake should they be offered a 2008 Realise Your Dream award
