Applications for the Rotary Youth Leadership Award (RYLA) program for 2007 in Rotary District 9800 (Victoria) are now open!

RYLA is a week long residential program for 18-25 year olds focusing on self, development and community. In District 9800, RYLA aims to:

  • Give young people the chance to come together in a supportive environment to gain a better understanding of their own strengths, and the unique qualities and abilities of others

  • Provide an opportunity for young people to develop a network of resources to facilitate their roles and development

  • Facilitate learning about teamwork, communication, motivation and to develop the leadership skills of young people through experiential workshops

  • Create a greater awareness of social issues affecting young people

  • Demonstrate Rotary's commitment to young people.

RYLA is run entirely for young people by young people.

Each RYLA participant is sponsored by a Rotary Club from District 9800. Further information and application forms can be found on the website (www.ryla9800.org.au).

In 2007, RYLA will be held from December 1-7 in Wonga Park. If you or anyone you know is interested in participating in the program please email Tess.Jenkin@elistas.com
