Want to find out if playing an online game can have a positive impact on your mental health?
Reach Out!, the makers of the online game Reach Out Central want to find out too. They’re asking for game testers to participate in an online evaluation running from August to November 2007.
Not only will you be helping Reach Out! evaluate whether the skills you learned in the game came in handy in real life, but you can enter competitions to win 1 of 100 Sony artist CDs and 1 of 10 JB Hi-Fi online vouchers worth $150 each.
Reach Out Central is an online game designed to develop and improve your mental health. In R.O.C, your decisions and interaction with other characters decides how you get ahead in the game and if you can move into new levels. Throughout R.O.C there’s cool inventory to trade and swap with other characters and you’ll come up against some of life’s challenges like; making new friends, peer pressure, safe partying, grief and loss, self esteem and anxiety, drug use and fighting with your friends and family.
So if you're 18-25 years, sign up and be one of the first to test Reach Out Central. Help Reach Out! find out if online gaming can have a positive impact on the mental health of young Australians.
