Volunteer? Why should I?

There are many benefits that can be gained from volunteering;

Think about the warm and fuzzy feelings you get when you go to the shops for your grandparents, or baby sit for a brother or sister, or pick up a stray piece of rubbish on the side of the road. They're the types of feelings that let you know you're making a difference, if only to yourself, and helping to make the world a better place.

Volunteering experiences can enrich your life as often or sparsely as you would like. Benefits include brightening up your resume, sharpening practical and interpersonal skills and giving back to a country that's given us so much already.

So why not do it?

Seek Volunteer can be found at http://www.volunteer.com.au/ . This is a one stop shop that tailors opportunities to your needs. Looking to help out in the community sector? Are animal rights more your thing? Do you just feel like planting a tree every now and then?

Check it out. Opportunities change all the time and there is always somebody out there who could do with a hand.
