TERMS & CONDITIONS (08/05/07)
2. The Promoters reserve the right to verify the validity of entries. The Promoters reserve the right to disqualify any entrant for tampering with the entry process or for submitting an entry which is not in accordance with these Terms and Conditions.
3. Promotion commences 09/05/07 and entries close at 5.00 pm (Sydney time) on 01/06/07 (Promotional Period) Incomplete or illegible entries will be deemed invalid. One entry only per person.
4. To enter the competition participants must fully answer the question outlined on the ‘Dalai Lama Competition’ entry form page.
5. Any contact details entered incorrectly on the website shall be deemed invalid.
6. This is a game of skill and chance plays no part in determining the winner. Each entry will be individually judged by a panel of judges according to its originality and creativity. The judging will take place at The Inspire Foundation, Balmain NSW 2041 on 01/06/07 at 5.00pm (Sydney time). Judges' decision is final and no correspondence will be entered into.
7. The entry judged to be the best will win first prize which includes Cry of the snow lion DVD (rrp $29.95) + An Open Heart by the Dalai Lama (rrp $24.95). Two runners-up prizes will be awarded a prize pack each which includes the Official Dalai Lama 2007 Tour Scarf (rrp $20) + Beanie (rrp $20).
8. Total prize value for first prize is $54.90AUS. Each runners-up prize is valued at $40 AUS (including GST).
9. Prize values are the recommended retail prices as provided by the supplier of the prizes and are correct as at time of quoting. The Promoters will not be responsible for any change in the value of a prize.
10. The winner will be notified by email on 03/06/07. The winner will have until 5.00 pm (Sydney time) on 09/06/07 to contact The Inspire Foundation via return email or by calling 02 8585 9300.
11. All suitable entries submitted will be posted on the ActNow website www.actnow.com.au for the duration of the competition.
12. Should the winner not respond to The Inspire Foundation by 5.00 pm (Sydney time) on 08/06/07 the prize will be forfeited and the prize cannot be used at another time by another person. The next best entry judged will be awarded the prize.
13. Prizes are not transferable or exchangeable and cannot be taken as cash.
14. No responsibility accepted for late, lost, or illegible entries.
15. Any costs associated with accessing the entry form page on the website are the entrant’s responsibility and are dependent on the Internet service provider used.
16. The Promoters will not be responsible for any incorrect, inaccurate or incomplete information communicated in the course of, or in connection with, this promotion if the deficiency is occasioned by any cause outside the reasonable control of the Promoters including without limitation technical malfunctions or failures. If for any reason any element of a prize(s) become unavailable for any reason beyond the Promoters control then a similar prize of equal or greater value will be awarded to the winner in lieu.
17. The Promoters are not responsible for any problems or technical malfunction of any telephone or network or lines, servers or providers, computer equipment, software, technical problems or traffic congestion on a mobile network, or any combination thereof, or any other technical failures including any damage to an entrant's or any other person's computer or mobile telephone handset related to or resulting from, participation in or downloading any materials in this promotion.
18. If for any reason this promotion is not capable of running as planned because of infection by computer virus, bugs, tampering, unauthorised intervention, technical failures or any other causes beyond the control of the Promoters which corrupt or affect the administration, security, fairness, integrity or proper conduct of this promotion, the Promoters reserve the right in their sole discretion to cancel, terminate, modify or suspend the promotion.
19. The Promoters also reserve the right in their sole discretion to disqualify any individual who the Promoters have reason to believe has breached any of these conditions, or engaged in any unlawful or other improper misconduct calculated to jeopardise the fair and proper conduct of the promotion. The Promoters’ legal rights to recover damages or other compensation from such an offender are reserved. The Promoters will not be responsible for any incorrect, inaccurate or incomplete information communicated in the course of, or in connection with, this promotion if the deficiency is occasioned by any cause outside the reasonable control of the Promoters.
20. It is a condition of entry into this competition that you are the owner of any intellectual property rights (including, but not limited to, the copyright) in your entry. By submitting your entry you agree to immediately upon entering the competition irrevocably assign all your rights in your entry (including all intellectual property rights) to the Inspire Foundation without further remuneration to you. You agree that The Inspire Foundation may freely use your entry in whatever way they decide and you will not bring a claim against The Inspire Foundation alleging that it has breached your intellectual property (including any moral rights) you have in respect of the entry.
21. The Promoters shall not be held liable for any loss or damage whatsoever which is suffered (including but not limited to indirect or consequential loss), or for personal injury suffered or sustained, as a result of accepting a prize, except for any liability which cannot be excluded by law.
22. Entries will not be returned. Entrants’ personal details will not be used for marketing purposes by the Promoters.

1. Entry is only open to Australian residents preferably aged between 16 years and 25 years as at the time of redeeming the prize. Employees, officers and contractors (and their immediate families) of the Promoters and its agencies associated with this promotion are ineligible to enter.
