Have you got an issue with that?

If you’ve got an issue with that…

Here’s an update from the ActNow marketing team...

We’ve launched a new marketing campaign that focuses on the issue of global warming. It was developed and made possible by the by the team at our creative agency "Three Drunk Monkeys", media partner "Razor" and our ActNow interns from Sydney Uni. It uses a range of media—from online to community radio and street press in Sydney and Melbourne. The featured print and online advertising turns up the heat on the global warming debate and depicts a weather forecast for the future with average temperatures hovering around 40 and 50 degrees.

The predictions used in the ads come from both the Australian Greenhouse Office and the United Nations.

The source of the prediction in the ad featuring the weather forecast is the Australian Greenhouse Office, Living with Climate Change: An overview of potential climate change impacts on Australia, December 2002.

The source for the prediction in the ad featuring the water fight is the Commission on Sustainable Development, Comprehensive assessment of the freshwater resources of the world, United Nations 1997.

We hope these ads lead to more people joining ActNow and taking action on the issues that matter most to them.

We're always keen to get feedback.. so let us know what you think of them!!

Seriously, you guys at ActNow are inspiring! Awesome posters! I must admit though, this is the first time I've ever seen them, i.e. on this website only, and what I'm saying is that it would be even more awesome if you could get these posters out in really public places to attract heaps of attention.

Not too long ago when I was in Perth, I saw a poster about water as a commodity in years to come. Well, anyway... it did really catch my attention and I did want to visit the website. But then I forgot the web address and couldn't google anything that resembled it up.

Miraculously I unexpectedly found the site when I googled something totally different... so my only critiscm of that ad would be to make the 'act now' more of a feature (unless I am a total forgetful idiot) because it wasn't in a newspaper or on the internet in a place that I would easily be able to come back and reread it.. it was more of a passing glance.

But anyway, it WAS really effective and I'm sure that the campgain will get through to a lot of people, good on you!

I found this site after seeing the Weather Outlook poster in a streetmag, definately made an impact, excellent work.
They are so extreme that I think some people may dismiss it as exaggerations, the 'Shark attacks man in CBD' in particular, but they grab your attention which is great, so people can find this website and the organisation and make their own mind up! Hope you can publish more in newspapers and magazines, TV?
