Why do we exist ?
We exist to promote the benefits of wind energy as a pollution-free source of clean electricity.
What do we do ?
We lobby governments to encourage policies which will increase Australia’s use of renewable energy.
We provide a counter-balance in the media to the many myths and misconceptions that exist about windfarms and wind power generally.
We provide factual information to interested groups and individuals on wind power and how it works.
What opportunities do we have for young people ?
We can provide information for school/university projects, we can help young people reach companies that work in the renewable energy sector, and we can help people learn more about wind energy in order to debate pressing energy-related issues from a position of knowledge and strength, so as to promote informed decision-making.
Other Stuff
Auswind is hosting the biggest wind energy event in the world this year–Global Windpower 2006 will be held in Adelaide from September 18-21, featuring the biggest players in renewable energy from dozens of countries.
