Why do we exist ?
- To promote alternative concepts of ownership beyond merely private ownership;
- To defend basic public social services such as education and health
- To promote the availability of public space and its access by all
That is, we fight to stop the enclosure of public space—be it real or virtual...
What do we do ?
We undertake research papers and hold public meetings. We also work to establish and promote public space.
What opportunities do we have for young people ?
The enclosure of public space—replaced by private malls—affects young people the most because they are excluded unless they have money to hang out in the mall. We are looking for ideas on how public space can be established and used.
Other Stuff
The issue of privatisation of everything has been in the headlines with the record companies suing Kaza. Organisations like Kaza allow for free file swapping and let those without money access music. It is this type of enclosure that affects young people and we want to do stop.
