Why do we exist ?
Humane Society International (HSI) exists to promote the conservation of all wild plants and animals and to protect animals from cruelty and neglect.
To join HSI's supporter list to receive our newsletters call us on the number above.
For an update on our campaign activities you can visit our website
http://www.hsi.org.au.What do we do ?
HSI funds project work that aids endangered species in developing countries. HSI also assists and pursuades governments and agencies, if necessary compelling them through legal means, to further protection for animals and the environment through appropriate regulations and enforcement.
If we didn't have a strong body of public support behind us, HSI would not be able to pursuade governments and agencies to take up our ideas for animal and environment protection. Young people and their families are welcome to join our HSI's supporter list to receive our newsletters and campaign updates
What opportunities do we have for young people ?
Young people can help HSI pursuade governments to take action for animals by responding to our Action Alerts which will usually involve writing to a responsible Minister on a particular issue. University graduates with science degrees can also help HSI with research projects.
Action Alerts are regularly posted on our website and you can find them in our 'what's on at HSI' column.
This month we are looking for Science Grads to help save Amboseli National Park in Kenya.
