Why do we exist ?
Kumangka was established in October 1995. Initially a client intervention service regarding homelessness, juvenile justice issues and general concerns with youth frequenting the Inner city areas.
What do we do ?
After moving to Hindmarsh in September 2002, Kumangka was able to provide a more holistic youth service, with the benefit of the Beanbag Centre Support, over the past 3 years. This has allowed us to expand and provide more and better options for our youth.
What opportunities do we have for young people ?
Young people mainly use the Beanbag centre for internet use, resume updates, gathering information in general, emails, obtaining information of sports mentors and CD burning. Today the Centre is able to provide music productions as well as movie production.
