Why do we exist ?
Kurbingui Youth Development is a not for profit organisation providing services to the Indigenous Community in the outer northern suburbs of Brisbane.
What do we do ?
We publish The Kurbingui Star community newspaper which began in February 2003 as a training and employment program. Now, the newspaper is increasing its' distribution and wil be presented in a newsprint format.
The'Star' is operated by a committed band of volunteers and CDEP workers who collect stories, design and layout for monthly production.
What opportunities do we have for young people ?
We have a drug and alcohol family assistance program; various employment projects; sport & recreation.
