Peanuts Funny Farm

In the last decade the number of children who have been taken from their families and placed into care due to violence, low income, substance abuse and mental health has almost doubled. Furthermore, this year the RSPCA noted a 12.17% rise in the number of abused or abandoned animals under their care. Peanuts Funny Farm targets both these pressing social issues by providing a nurturing space of healing and hope.

We provide shelter, support and veterinarian care to unwanted, neglected and abused animals. This includes sick and aged animals that people no longer want. We try to re-home the animals where it is possible. On weekends, we share the farm with underprivileged children in care.

Peanuts Funny Farm Inc provides a place for animals and children looking for a sense of family, healing and a brighter future. We teach the children about the animals and how to care for them. Children are able to interact and bond with these lovely creatures and in the process hopefully achieve a sense of belonging.

Peanuts Funny Farm Inc provides disadvantaged young people with the opportunity to learn, and grow in a nurturing and loving environment. The time they spend on the farm invigorates their perspective on the possibilities of life and what they can achieve.
