People and Animal Welfare Society (PAWS)

The PAWS vision is a society wherein humans and animals can coexist peacefully without the threat of cruelty, exploitation or untimely death.

PAWS envisions increasing numbers of ethically responsible people living with a deep sense of purpose for the betterment of society and the sustainability of our environment.

PAWS introduces and maintains projects that encourage environmental sustainability, sensible agriculture, community welfare and education, and that display harmonious and productive relationships between humans and animals thereby creating greater peace within society.

PAWS has street teams who raise awareness of certain issues to reduce the suffering of animals.

Other opportunities for young people include: volunteering opportunities, capitalising on the resources and products at the PAWS community resource centre, and meeting other people who are concerned about the suffering of animals and environmental degradation.

We are currently working on acampaign to encourage the last shop in Perth that is selling animal fur to change their animal fur products to synthetic materials, promoting Animal Australia’s SaveBabe campaign, and trying to put an end to the Taiji dolphin slaughter.

PAWS is a sister organisation of Animals Australia.
