Why do we exist ?
Project AWARE, the dive industry's leading nonprofit environmental organization, conserves underwater environments through education, advocacy and action. Offices located in the United States, Australia, Japan, the United Kingdom and Europe combine efforts to protect aquatic resources in 175 countries of the world.
What do we do ?
We accomplish this mission by involving divers, snorkellers and water enthusiasts in hands-on environmental activities, inspiring conservation through diver education and public awareness programs and supporting environmental projects that address key conservation priorities.
What opportunities do we have for young people ?
Project AWARE also organises major events throughout the year which you can get involved in: Clean Up Australia Day—March; Dive In To Earth Day—April; World Oceans Day—June; International Cleanup Day—September.
Other Stuff
Thanks to donations from divers Project AWARE is able to operate a quarterly grant programme and run education and awareness campaigns like Protect the Sharks or Sustainable Fisheries.
