Why do we exist ?
Vibewire Youth Inc. is a dynamic nonprofit organization that supports young people to effectively shape their world through media, arts and entrepreneurial opportunities.
Across the world young people are making important contributions as world citizens, consumers, productive workers, entrepreneurs and agents of change.
What do we do ?
Vibewire Youth Inc. encourages and stimulates an entrepreneurial spirit by unlocking the talents, imagination and creativity of youth as drivers of change, addressing important economic, environmental and social issues within their communities.
What opportunities do we have for young people ?
Vibewire has established itself as one of the leading youth organisations in Australia and continues to expand as a multifaceted business focused on inspiring and supporting the creative and enterprising initiatives of young people across the country.
Vibewire Youth Inc. has four main activity areas:
- The vibewire enterprise hub is a business incubator providing space, resources, connections and inspiration for young entrepreneurs during the start up phase of their initiatives.
- Our online portal is a multimedia plat form for young writers, artists and content producers to freely experiment and develop their creative expression.
- Vibewire’s youthscape is the source for powerful and uncompromised journalism from the youth perspective.
- Vibewire’s Reelife Film Festival has become an established part of the Australian independent film calendar, featuring the up and coming young Australian filmmakers.
Other Stuff
Vibewire Youth Inc. was incorporated in September 2000 by Tom Dawkins during his university studies. The company was originally conceived as a vehicle to the website Vibewire.net, a youth expression portal - but it has become much, much more.
Since its inception, Vibewire has run many projects for young people to express the issues they are passionate about, whilst providing them the opportunities to develop their skills and talents in a supportive and creative environment.
