WorkCover NSW

WorkCover NSW is a statutory authority within the portfolio of the Minister Assisting the Minister in Finance.  It's primary objective is to work in partnership with the NSW community to achieve safe workplaces, effective return to work and security for injured workers. 

WorkCover NSW administers and enforces compliance with occupational health and safety (OHS), injury management, return to work and workers compensation legislation, and manages the workers compensation system.

WorkCover NSW has established an annual poster competition for Young Workers, to enhance their awareness and understanding of the importance of workplace safety. 

The annual Young Workers poster competition encourages young workers to think about the importance of occupational health and safety as well as the impact of a workplace injury.

• Don't perform a task until you have been properly trained
• Ask fellow workers about risks and hazards
• Report any safety concerns to a supervisor or colleague
• Follow all safety procedures
• Use safety equipment and protective clothing if needed
