Why do we exist ?
beyondblue works to address issues associated with depression, anxiety , and related substance use disorders in Australia. Youthbeyondblue is the youth program of beyondblue and has been specifically designed to appeal to young people aged between 12 and 25 years.
What do we do ?
Youthbeyondblue is a depression awareness campaign designed by young people for young people, their family and friends. Youthbeyondblue aims to educate young people about how to spot the warning signs in themselves and their friends and how to get help.
Youthbeyondblue’s website www.youthbeyondblue.com provides information and education for young people about depression, anxiety and other related issues (like staying healthy and bullying). What opportunities do we have for young people ?
Youthbeyondblue provides an opportunity for young people to learn about depression and anxiety and how to help a friend or family member who may be experiencing these illnesses.
All the Youthbeyondblue information is written and developed specifically for young people. The information and fact sheets on the site cover a wider range of issues including the stats and facts about depression, how to find help, information on treatments and much more.
The bulletin board on the website called ‘Share your stories’ provides young people with an opportunity to write about their own experiences with depression and anxiety and reply to the story of others.
Other Stuff
