I set up StreetSmart 5 years ago because I felt I had to take direct action myself rather than waiting for governements to act. Taking action, whatever it maybe, is important, we have to lead from below and change the political landscape through smaller actions. There is not enough time to go into the changes I'd like to see but I have a focus in my own life to help others, build long and lasting personal relationships, spend time with my young family and friends and help move our society from a capitalist consumer driven economy to one that balances the environment, human rights, sustainability, poverty eradication. Thats a quick summary!
