So, now that you're here i guess i should pump out a few lines about who i am, what i'm all about, and what's behind the post-bohemian art-chic self portrait avatar at the top of this page.

I'm from Fitzroy in Melbourne. I love this place, love where i live. It's rich and full of character, vibrant and raw. I really dig living here. As a creative beast i reckon Fitzroy is one of the best areas you live, so much going on and heaps of inspiration to boot.

If there were a couple of passions that sum my life up it would be writing and music. I love to write, be it informed opinion, stream of consciousness jive, poetry, short stories, blogs....on a good day i'll have a stab at some lyrics, but this class of words are hard to come by. Good lyrics, that is. Bad lyrics are everywhere. It's the good stuff that keeps itself hidden and buried beneath.
I write music, play sax, guitar and sing. It keeps the creative juices a'flowin and makes me happy.

I've always thought that we're extraordinarily lucky to be living in this era, this exciting, amazing time in human history when you and i and our generation hold a power that no other generation has ever been afforded. The power to make profound choices that will have a direct impact on the future of our existence on this planet.

I get the feeling that we're reaching a certain tipping point, a moment in time where more and more people are waking up what is real, what is important to our lives, what isn't required, and what needs to be left behind. It's a time of immense, rapid change, and you and i have a role in how we go about things from this point on.

I guess i don't know exactly what makes me want to Act Now...
but i do know that 'now' is all we've got...in fact, its all we've ever had.  The NOW. People talk about 'someday i'll do this, someday i'll be that..'. Well, there is no 'someday'. Someday doesn't exist. We gotta do it now.

In terms of acting....
Well, i think it's an instinctual thing. I have a vested interest in the general good, in peace, happiness, doing the right thing, making a difference. I'm sure you guys are in the same boat. There are issues and problems in our society and around the world that we ought to be informed about, so we can then do something about them. ActNow is such a great way to assist this process. It really is a great honour to be on board, throwing in my two cents and doing my bit.

Lots of things inspire me. Gandhi's "be the change that you see in the world" has always stuck with me. Midnight Oil remains my favourite band of all time, such a powerful, passionate band with unparalleled integrity. Peter Garrett is definitely up there as a role model.
