After 20 years of dance training, including two attempts at tertiary level ballet, modern and jazz, I've turned my attention to circus and belly dancing. I aspire to perform, but also to work with youth, encouraging self confidence and healthy lifestyles and body image.
I have taught dance and circus in Australia and the US, and worked with the Adelaide Fringe Youth and Education Program and the Australian Festival for Young People - Come Out. I have also volunteered with the Adelaide Fringe, Adelaide Festival of Arts, Come Out, Hawaii's Volcano Circus, Edmund Rice Camps and the Rock Eisteddfod Challenge.
I am hoping to study Youth Work alongside my dance and circus training and to eventually be able to travel internationally, performing and running workshops for young people.
My inspiration comes from Cirque du Monde, Rachel Brice, Underbelly, NICA, Eddie Rice, Graham Ellis, Tanja Lietdke, street performers, Garry Stewart and my Mum.
