I am a 20 year-old student at the University of Sydney. I am very concerned about global warming. I think it is an issue nobody can ignore. Sometimes I am frustrated about the fact that people do not put the environment first. All money and wealth will not be worth anything if we stuff up the world we live in. During my studies I have learned about the increadible poverty in the third world. It is a very complex topic to find out how to elliviate poverty in Africa. In my free time I like not think too much about the big issues in the world and relax at the beach or with my friends over coffee. But yeah I was driving to the cinema the other day and forgot to buy food cause I was in too deep in a conversation with my friend about global warming.
The Howard government believes that consumer demand and supply will sort everything out. I don't believe that. Yet I try to create demand for sustainable things by buying organic food and recycled rather than brand new stuff.
Hmm I am also very interest in all kinds of foreign stuff.
