Action Plan!! 08-07-2007 02:11

As part of the incubator 5, members are asked to plan an action/ event/ drive etc and from there get feedback from incubator members.. I thank Ben and Tiara for their feedback and ideas.. :):)

I am planning on increasing awareness amoungst homelessness in Melbourne, as it is something that is misunderstood and often ignored... I plan to do this by creating an information myspace, and aim to "recruit" some committed youth from this.

I am in the process of starting to volunteer at the Sacred Heart Mission in St Kilda, and from there I plan to organise a food collection drive and want to find a group of youth volunteers to help out at the mission. I also hope to plan a small event and have some collection tins circulating melbourne...

As you can see, I need to do some more to get this action "up and running", but i hope by the end of the incubator there will be more knowledge about this as well as less people hungry and cold at night as a result of food drives and collection tins.

Thats about it for now... its a work in process, but i hope it works out...

Jen :)

passion 05-06-2007 06:00

where does passion come from??

does a quiet acheiver have the same passion as the person who is in the spotlight?

does everyone have passion? i know i do! here is some of my random writing about one of my passions.

Why is that child hungry?

What did he or she do to deserve this?

Why is it that the resources in this world are so unevenly distributed?

How come I have a full stomach now, but whilst im writing this, hundreds of people would have died of poverty related disease?

For me, these are just some questions I often ask myself, and they inspire me to act. I know that my voice alone may not make change, but one of the great parts of the MPH Campaign is that like minded voices can join, influence and promote change.

if your interested in how you can make a difference, look at this sight below or look at sites of organisations such as Oxfam, World Vision and AusAid.

Peace out,

Jeno
