I find that the world can be such depressing place at times. Dont get me wrong im not a suicidal emo, which is obviosuly one of the fads atm, i dont wear eyeliner and i certainly dont wear tight black denim.
What depresses me is the silly decisions people make which divide our community. People like john howard, like many of the politicians. They divide and conquer mentality that exists.
There is so much to celebrate in each individual, we just have to work out what it is. I figure that success is a relative term. What one person feels is success another might see as a stepping stone on the way to the top.
It is the responsibility of the people who are on their way to the top to realise this and support those that have already reached their benchmark for success.
Im gay, im 22 and my partner and i just got married under British Legislation. I am a dual citizen which enabed us to get married here in Australia at the British Consulate. For me same sex marriage is an issue, as well as all the issues that it links to. Equal access to will, status of next of kin, superannuation etc.
I love conversations and arguments. I can spend hours debating ideas and concepts for the sake of the idea. It doesnt have to be sensible, it doesnt need to be logical and it certainly doesnt have to be practicle.
I work in youth policy for the government and as a young person i like to know what others think too. I mean i have my views of the world, it doesnt mean they are right. I like to hear what others have to say, but it doesn tmean i will agree with you.
Thats a rather disjointed rant that wont actually tell you all that much about me. But anyway, that will do.
