PGDP

I was born in Montevideo in Uruguay (South America).  I emigrated to Australia with my mum and dad in 1986, I was only 7 so I picked up English without an accent.  I'd like to be a full time practicing artist and continue to study in the area of visual arts.  I find making art has become an important way for me to explore and try and come to terms with the things that I experience and issues that I feel need to addressed and spoken about at all levels, i.e. publicly , in schools, with friends or within the home.  The main issues I'm compelled to address are
  • Displacement
  • Cultural Identity
  • Racism
  • Gender equality
  • Human Rights abuses
I'm not out to be some kind of guerilla social and/or political activist but I feel its important to Speak Up and Speak Loud.
