I live to eat and eat to live. At any one moment, I will most likely be thinking about cheese
I'm a born realist-slash-optimist. I feel that there is a purpose for everything even the negative things such as poverty and climate change. It is a chance for those of us who are privileged to stand up and make a positive difference. It is not about political parties, or politicians, or policies, it is about ethical and fair ways of living.
I want to act to make people aware that a difference can be made, big or small. It is not about being right or wrong, but about actively promoting an ethical way of living that respects everyone. I want to act because I am tired of people complaining. I want to act because young people are increasingly becoming apathetic to real issues. Young people are not given the opportunities to engage in complex social issues and are often marginalized. I want to change this.
Most of all, I am inspired by cheese and cake. Bill Bailey is the greatest thing invented since well, cheese and cake.
All hail the cheese.

I just received an email from the GetUp Foundation that the Federal Government is about to put forward legislation to completely remove all detention centres in Australia.
I am very excited about this and I hope the Opposition does not attempt to block it. Its a tragedy that these centres have existed for so long in our society. I hope this is the start of removing ourselves from these terrible actions.
I will keep this updated.
