WA's Attempt So Far... 15-03-2010 03:46

Robyn (WA Youth Worker) and I had the idea of producing those free postcard-type things to put in cafes and other public places to promote the identification of young carers. So far, Robyn has done quite a bit and has got up an application form which can be seen at the bottom of the WA Carers - Young Carers page. So far it seems to be set for the judging to be occurring around youth week but we are uncertain as to how much the posters we are planning on creating and all of the other things will cost. We are also slightly confused about the budget thing but I'm pretty sure Robyn will have it sorted after the teleconference tomorrow. I will not be able to attend the conference due to university bits clashing.

This Weeks Action 19-10-2009 08:36

I printed out a couple of Carers Week posters this week to put up in the library and music department at school and so far they've stayed in their respective positions which I'm taking to be a good sign.
Also I've written the letter that I planned to write and have sent it into the local newspaper. Unfortunately I haven't received any kind of reply and because I have no idea of the newspaper industry I'm not sure what to think of this. For the moment I'm just giving it time. Hopefully it won't turn into an issue.
