Yasouna
I am a Lebanese Maronite Catholic who is currently studying my Masters in Theology and Philosophy. I feel that there is an overwhelming issue concerning the unity of the Christian faith, particularly regarding people under one authority and teaching, and although many do not seem to care.
I am a patriot of Lebanon and I was there during the 2006 war. I have to say, even for a country that is so small, Lebanon has a lot to offer the world. Unfortunately people would rather kill for the land than live in peace.
But rather than remonstrate and loudly voice my opinion in the street, I believe that much more can be achieved through striking up dialogue with those who disagree. We have all heard the saying "the pen is mightier than the sword" and this is very true, but consider this
The pen is even mightier than the protest banner and megaphone!"
I know from dealing with Apologists, the moment that someone starts with the ranting and raving and refusing to hear the other side of the story (which I have seem protesters do in the past) they lose the respect of anyone listening to them, and they will soon find that no one is listening at all. That is why my method is to write what you are reading right now, I find it much more effective.
Please feel free to contact me; I love to chat about different issues.
Thank you and God bless.
