What makes me act?
Our world is ridden with serious and potentially fatal problems but the vast majority of people never seem to worry about anything deeper than “bread and circuses”. Don’t worry – be happy!
I believe that meaningful life & happiness can be found outside pubs and footy grounds. I feel better going to an anti-war rally rather than the Melbourne cup. Criticizing & blaming the others for all the problems we have is easy, but not my cup of tea. I’m much happier to be the Don Quixote fighting the windmills – come & have a laugh, or share my concern about aggression, violence, crime, drugs, alcohol, pollution, climate change & other great challenges. Let’s make this world a better place!
What I have learnt so far?
To eat… Vegemite without blocking my nose
To act - not to stay silent and just wait
To find & tell the truth – did U ever believe the moon landings or 9/11?
To laugh! This world is often so shallow and ridiculous…
To share with others – ideas, love, friendship, happiness, challenges, money, joys and sorrows
To balance life with fun - hobbies, culture, sport and adventure
My Vision for Australia
- To scrap the monarchy and become a republic
- To unite with NZ and other willing neighboring countries into a Pacific Union, which in turn would become a founding member of a future World Federation
- To abolish the states and have just one government – lean, efficient, responsible, transparent and focused on social reform rather than endless state/federal bickering
- To disband the armed forces & espionage agencies, and become a regional model of peace & democracy - promoting social progress and prosperity through pluralism, tolerance and cooperation.
- To be a prosperous nation enjoying free, world class education & healthcare; strong & clean economy; pristine nature, outstanding culture, fast & affordable transport, etc.
- If you’re curious to see the rest please visit the peacefederalists or refer me to your psychiatrist
Life Motto
I’m pluralist and use many mottos. Here are just 2 of them:
Imagine all the people living life in peace. You may say I'm a dreamer, but I'm not the only one. I hope someday you'll join us, and the world will live as one.
John Lennon
I dream things that never were
and say – why not?
