World AIDS Day 2009: Mass Murderer's Support condoms 03-12-2009 03:05


In honor of World AIDS Day on December 1st, newfangled TV commercials will be published. These radical commercials which desire to crusade safe sex willn't be sporting the yummiest celebrity nor will they be featuring any of our present-day important politicians rooting on the populace to be safe and smart about sex. Instead, these latest commercials will feature none other than Joseph Stalin, Adolf Hitler and Saddam Hussein.

 

You may be wondering what the association is between safe sex and murderous dictators. Well, the crusade's tagline of  AIDS is a mass liquidator  might put it all into perspective for you.  The implicit motif of the crusade is that these three dictators have been liable for the demises of more or less the same number of citizenry that have given in to AIDS. These pictures of the authoritarians are, therefore, exploited to indicate that AIDS is also a slayer of the peoples in order to fright masses into employing condoms correctly and consistently.

 

Of Course, a fight of this nature is not without its critics. In fact, there have been several AIDS/HIV charities and institutions that have already come forward to state that they do not endorse this cause. One spokeswoman for the National AIDS Trust states,  "Of course there are many HIV organizations that run their own campaigns, however, I would think that (advertisement) is incredibly stigmatizing to people living with HIV who already face much stigma and discrimination due to ignorance about the virus. On top of this, it fails to provide any kind of actual prevention message. For example, use a  condom, and may deter people to come forward for testing."

 

In the last a couple of years, there has been a large reduction in terms of the world's interest in AIDS and HIV issues. Yet, the amount of people who are yielding to this disease each and every day has not decelerated. As A Matter Of Fact, over 28 million individuals across the world have yielded to AIDS, making this virus an peerless mass murderer. The cause was contrived and advanced to ensure that citizenry around the world do not blank out that AIDS is still very much a slayer that can target anybody. Because of this, the campaign wanted to utilize shock value in order to get AIDS and HIV issues to the vanguard of world news and people s minds.
