Who am I?
I’m Doug. Friends call me Dougie. I’m 18 years old this year and I finished Year 12 last year. I’m having a year off before I start Uni – working, travelling and experiencing. Next year at Uni I’ll be studying life sciences in a science degree, and once that’s done I’ll probably do and Arts degree. Then I will move into the world =D
What do I do and what do I feel?
I live in Melbourne, at home with family. I spend time with friends. I watch TV. I listen to awesome music. I watch people make awesome music. I make awesome music with awesome people (enough music – it’s a big part of my life J…). I travel without worrying how much it costs, as long as it’s worth it for me. I go to Adelaide, for family and the chilled-out-ness of it. I go to Sydney for friends and the Inspire Foundation. I go to Melbourne because it’s my home in my heart, always has been and always will be. I’m going to Africa in January 2008. I used to live in the USA (but I’m Aussie – I was born here!). I read – a lot.. I love my past teachers. I spend money. I save more money (to spend later, of course). I’m pretty crafty (I recently painted my room). I’m not afraid to do what I want to, to break the stereotype. I love Sri Lankan food. I always try everything. I walk. A lot. I meet new people and make new friends. I talk…. Also a lot. I feel a sense of duty to people, the world, the environment and all living things. I think of the future all the time. I dip choc ripple biscuits in coffee with milo. I’m pretty random. I laugh out loud, with the occasional snort. I wear glasses. I sleep and never want to get up, but wake up quickly once I’m up. I like hot showers. I love answering the phone. I drink orange juice every morning. I love my friends. I love my family. I talk. A lot. I’m a Youth Ambassador for Reachout.com.au. I donate blood. I get other people to donate blood. I’m nerdy and not afraid of it. I’m not afraid.
I am happy.
