I am a 24 y.o. post-grad student studying at UTas in Launceston, Tasmania. I love playing sport, watching movies and cooking. I am also lucky enough to have been able to do a small amount of travel both within Australia and overseas and as a result I am fascinated by the world and its people.
There is so much out there in the world that we can learn about, think about and get involved with if we choose. All it takes is a small amount of time and a critical eye to be able to form a complete picture of the story from which an opinion all your own can be generated.
I think many ppl today - especially young ppl, are led by the media and the people controlling it into believing whatever it is that they want us to believe. The very point of an issue may be lost as the figures in the media deliberately concentrate on smaller aspects of an overall picture and in doing so may focus ppl away from the real issues. This is something I would like to try and change.
