Hi! My name is Katie, and I am the new intern here at ActNow! I am from Colorado in the U.S., and am studying abroad here in Australia for the semester. I am so excited to get myself more involved here, and hopefully help more people get involved along the way.
I enjoy a broad range of issues, everything from politics, to human rights and welfare, to environmental policy. I hope that I will be able to deliver good information that is both informative and helpful to readers, and give them a good insight as to what is really happening in the world that they live in.
I truly believe everybody has the power to change the world if they really have the will to do it. Even the slightest good deed will have such major impacts down the road that are most often unforeseeable. All it takes is a passion!

I'm so inspired by what you had to say. I'm from a small rural area, a town of 100 people. My best friends is indeginous and it impacts his life everyday, however, I have never known any different. I was taught to treat everyone they way you would want to be treated, but the world has proved that not everyone feels the same way. I would love any suggestions you have for equal treatment. Skin colour shouldn't make a difference! With your background, being from a completely different country, I would like to know your opinion and anything could me my friends life in the world easier!
