One of my two favourite bands (the other being My Chemical Romance) is Nine Inch Nails. 'Year Zero', the new LP deals with the story of the world 15 years into the future. It's not a very pretty picture. The line between church and state has disappeared, the environment is close to ruin due to global warming, propoganda controls the masses and fear, greed and paranoia is rife. The world that Trent Reznor described made me lose my breath. It terrified me because the way things are going, that's the world that we'll be living. It made me realise that apathy will leave us in a very bad state, that I need to act.
