I'm Mim, the ActNow Website Manager. I manage and edit the site's content and make sure it's running smoothly. I'd love to hear what you think about ActNow. Please make suggestions and send me your wishlist for content or cool features we could have on ActNow :-)

A few of you have asked how I got to be working on such cool project, with such amazing people. Well, I did a degree in social science and international studies at UTS, where I mainly did subjects in Australian history and politics. After uni I did some freelance writing and research for the ABC, working on the History of Federation project. For the next three years I worked as a researcher in the Press Gallery of NSW Parliament. During that time, I also volunteered on and off for the Inspire Foundation and as a home English tutor to a young refugee. Before coming to ActNow I worked for the Australian Publishers Association and did some post grad studies in editing and publishing.

I love Australia but wish our government could be more compassionate, especially when it comes to the treatment and support given to refugees.

I live in Annandale in Sydney's Inner-West. I love cooking, playing pub trivia and drinking cups of tea on rainy days. I'm also a HBO drama junkie: Six Feet Under, Deadwood, Sopranos, Carnivale. And I love love love Curb your Enthusiasm and Arrested Development.
