Hey! I'm micky, I'm 19 years old, and passionate about our planet! I live in Brissy, and am currently studying Arts (majoring in political science) and Social Studies (development) at UQ. When I graduate, I'd love to work in an NGO relating to development and the environment, such as Oxfam. I'm on the Queensland Youth Environment Council, which has given me the unique opportunity to speak to youth about the environment, and convey their messages to the QLD ministers for environment and education.
I think some people are overwhelmed by the huge problems facing our planet at the moment. But I view these issues as a unique and exciting opportunity for us to consider where we are at the moment, and which direction we should be heading in. I believe that our generation will be the one that gets our planet back in shape.
I'm inspired by the countless people who stand up for what they believe in, and are taking action to create a better world. I ActNow for the millions of people worldwide who can't.
